Nern Chalet: Bay of Thailand Beachfront Accommodations South of Bangkok.
See other featured accommodations in our Where to Stay in Southeast Asia directory.

Nern Chalet is a little treasure nestled into the coastline along the Bay of Thailand, just an hour and a half south of bustling Bangkok. The family-owned hotel employs kind and friendly staff and hosts visitors from all around the world looking to make an easy transition from Western living to Thai relaxation.

We stayed for several days, rented a motorbike, and explored Hua Hin and the surrounding area…

Our Favorite Memory: Setting out on moped adventures…finding “Denver Fire” representatives…ordering fresh seafood from the fish market…hiking the hill to the nearby monastery…visiting the “Summer Palace”…and combing through the nighttime markets for delicious street food and lovely jewelry…and watching Ted navigate his Thai cooking class with style…and hot sauce!

This Nern Chalet article is part of our €œtwoOregonians in Southeast Asia€ adventures featuring visits to hostels, B&Bs, beautiful hotels, and one-of-a-kind accommodations. As always, all opinions, photos, and stories are our own; many thanks to our kind hosts and partners along the way. It was our pleasure to make our first-time visits to Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia!
