August 7, 2012

Touchdown, Beirut. Three weeks. Memories and impressions, new friends, new lessons, new adventures. Old ruins, old scars, old themes…

I’ve found myself struggling to put words to time, stewing over posts, stringing words and sorting photos. Here’s a preview in the meantime…a little taste of our life in Lebanon.

What great photos! You have such an eye for interesting and intriguing scenes. I think a book is needed when you return home..

At this rate, a book will be the only way to get stories out! I have such a backlog ; )

I love being able to capture little pictures of the world. It’s so, so beautiful. The fantastic and the mundane, both. It’s all about the way you look at it…

      Hugs to you! xx

Good to see that much of your time in Lebanon was focused on food. Looking forward to more!

Oh, the food. The Food. THE FOOD!!!

So delicious. Stay tuned for the post about cooking school at Tawlet, too. I can’t wait to try the recipes again in my Oregon kitchen.

Thanks, Bobbi! Lebanon was just gorgeous. Crazy and chaotic, too, and rough around the edges and sketchy and unpredictable, but also full of beautiful people and flavors and colors and past times…

Good burgers are hard to come by in Italy and your photo of that burger has me drooling!

And I want to hear more about this plant sitting!

Mm, hmm. It had been ages since a good, juicy burger. Ted got a chance to stand at the grill, we smothered the buns in veggies and ketchup and all of the fixings…and the 961 beer made the meal.

    What say you?
