So excited for you guys… I can’t wait to follow along. Maybe we will meet up somewhere out there in the world?

How fantastic would that be? A little Oregonians-Abroad meetup! We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for you along the way. :)

We would love to be there, too. We can plan an Oregonian meetup on the other side of the globe!

what about the stop in northern Cameroon to examine drought-resistant sorghums and other local food specialties? You’re welcome to stay with this fellow Oregonian any time!

Karissa! Thank you so much for the offer :) Cameroon was on our original list of possible stops in Africa, and I’m so intrigued by the descriptions of the coastlines and mountains and jungles of the country (and the people, too!). If we blow in on the wind, it would be so fun to connect with you… Hope you are well.

Bethany! Hadn’t heard that this was happening for sure! Wonderful and exciting!! I’ll watch with interest your travels! Is this where you’ll post about your trip?

    • Reply twoOregonians October 20, 2011 at 12:10 pm

Hi Sue :) Yes, the day has finally come… We’ll be sharing stories and pictures here over the coming months. Please do drop by and say hello from time to time. Much love~

I’m excited to hear it’s all falling into place! That means we definitely need to schedule some quality time while I’m home in December…I’ll be there from the 20th to the 28th (flying out on the morning of the 29th).
P.S. Are you absolutely certain there’s no room for a stop in Tokyo on that itinerary? I’ve been waiting for a visit from you, you know…

    • Reply twoOregonians October 20, 2011 at 12:12 pm

The farther into the year, the less tight the itinerary…let’s hope for an amazing airfare deal to pop up while we’re on the road! It would be fantastic to see you in your fair city :) We’ll definitely get together over Christmas — maybe we can have a repeat of last year’s “Train” game? ;)

Thank you!! It’s going to be even more fun once we have fresh news from far off lands :) xoxo

    Ted and Bethany,
Thank you for all the supportive comments and retweets here and on FB- I really appreciate it and that kind of support means alot. How can I help you two out? I think you’re upcoming trip sounds awesome, should I just link to this page to try and get more exposure or is there any connection you’d like to specifically make online? Send me an email if there’s a more specific way I can help your trip other than sharing the links here.

    Ben

      Hey Ben,
That’s so kind of you to say! We love sharing your work — your photos are stunning, and it’s fun to show off Oregon’s amazing nighttime landscapes to our friends and followers. We’re looking forward to life on the road and the chance to share our discoveries along the way. It means the most to us just to be able to connect with people as we travel, so please, feel free to drop back by, see what we’re up to, leave a ‘hello’ and give a tip or two if we manage to pull off some amateur nighttime shots in Patagonia. ; ) All the best to you and Valorie, and thanks again for stopping by!

Hey you guys! Could you remind me again of the address for your apartment in Buenos Aeries? I deleted it from my phone, and I you know I’m going to have to be able to find you when I’m down there :)

Great blog. I am a fellow Oregonian living in Buenos Aires and I am sad to see that I JUST missed you. It would have been nice to get the current Portland gossip. Come back soon!

    Hola, amigos!
Ted, I’m sure I found this through Stephanie somehow, but wow!!!! So awesome. You guys are my heroes. Starting a mini-blog on a trip to Guatemala and stealing your “People to Remember” line… hope that’s okay.
Bethany…. I’m glad Ted found the perfect girl :) I knew Ted when he was an 18 year old wanderlust in Mexico. You guys have turned out just perfect :) <3
