This post is not meant to alarm, but be forewarned: WAFFLES. BACON. BLOODY MARY BAR.
First. Duff Goldman made me breakfast…
Enough meat to feed an army.
Then, my friend Tyler Stevens fought his way to the top of the first annual Brunch Brawl Cocktail Competition:
Hey, @faithstevens – your hubby knocked it out of the park. Congrats Tyler on winning the first annual #feastpdx Brunch Brawl cocktail competition. "Perfectly balanced," the judges said. Perfectly prepared, it seemed: he brought his bags and coolers full of tricks. Also: homemade heirloom tomato sangrita. (Got any left for our #pdxfoodswap??) ;)
And to cap off the morning: Bloody Marys and all the fixings in EVERY direction. It’s a shame Ted wasn’t with me to drink one. (Shhh…I prefer champagne!)
Next year, Feast begins on Lucie’s second birthday. I can’t believe the way time flies…
Head to Feast’s website for details on their Fighting Hunger Campaign and while you’re there, scroll through the who’s-who list of chefs, restaurants, and producers participating in Feast 2014. This post sponsored by Feast Portland. All opinions and ridiculous excitement over delicious food are entirely my own.
