Short and Sweet and Scattershot

You Know What’s Long Overdue?

June 30, 2015

A good post.

One about adventures and food and family and friends.

Here’s the thing: I have two dozen stacked up in my brain, and each day ends without the spare minutes to write them down. (And no, I didn’t manage to put today’s leap second to use, either.)

But I’ll tell you what’s coming when the dust finally settles around here:

A surprise trip to Los Angeles.

A new backyard studio for my Landscape Architecture practice.

A successful Summer PDX Food Swap.

A little Peach who is nearly two years old and funnier by the day.

A husband who is SIX WEEKS away from being finished with grad school forever!

The little snippets make it to Instagram.

For now, that’s where you’ll find me. And one random hour, when you least expect it, another honest to goodness blog post will pop up right here…

xx Bethany

P.S. I think you’re swell for keeping in touch and reading along.

So nice to hear from you. I don’t know if you remember. I’m a Swedish journalist and correspondant in Rom, Italy, Ake Mam. We met some years ago on a trip to a nature park here north of Rome. We’ll keep in touch

Ake! Yes, of course I do remember you! How nice to hear from you after all this time. I’m so glad you took time to leave a note — please look us up if you’re ever in this corner of the world? xx Bethany (& Ted)

This is totally a running theme amongst all the blogs I still read. And my own! Summer is about kicking back and relaxing, though, right??

I can kick myself endlessly over the things not getting done online…but then I stop and think about what I *am* doing in real life, and I remember that those hours spent on people and high priorities here are really the best choice for the time being. (I still wish I had 48 hours in the day to do all the other fun things, though…like consistently blogging.) Someday, right? ;)

    What say you?
