Musings, Tidbits About Us

Happy {Summertime} Birthdays to Us! And Party Favors for You…

February 3, 2012

Today, I turn 28, and we fly to Patagonia. (Ahhhhhhh!!)

Tuesday, Ted (self-proclaimed “Mr. Indoorsy”) continues to be my hero, turning 30 in the rustic wilderness of Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park.

I’ll admit, it feels really silly to put this up, but for the kind friends and family that specifically asked about online gifts before we left, we created a link to our digital change jar:

{It´s been brought to my attention that the link below is not functioning correctly. Since I´m at the mercy of a Spanish keyboard and Microsoft Explorer, I´ll be waiting to fix things until we´re back on our own laptop… Short story: look on the homepage sidebar for the link that looks like the picture below. It should take you to a donation page at PayPal. If it´s still acting up, you can manually make a donation by entering our address at Classy pan-handling, I know…}
Of course, the best gift you can give is just to keep in touch and send notes and hellos from home. We love and miss you all!As party favors for our celebration on the road, let us send you a postcard from abroad.

Add the postman’s directions to the form below, and we’ll find you the perfect card from a country on our list

That’s it! Now we’ll start the search for the perfect postal greeting to send you…

And in the meantime, we winter babies will be enjoying our first summertime birthdays down here in the Southern Hemisphere. All this February sunshine is just too much fun!

Much love to all of you. xx

While we’re out in the wilderness without wifi, we’ll have a few scheduled posts for your viewing pleasure… Can’t wait to catch up with you on the other side!

    What fun birthdays! We are getting ready for a four-person party here. Bill is one of the four, of course. I kinda miss those old Bill-and-Ted Most Excellent Birthday parties! Happy birthday Bethany! You are a jewel and Ted seems to know it!

      Ted still talks about the Bill-and-Ted parties all the time! : ) Maybe we’ll have to plan a reunion party one of these years??

    Happy birthday, Bethany and Ted! What a way to celebrate – seeing the world! I’m going to Beijing again in a few weeks but maybe I can plan another trip there at the same time you are nearby. Can I assume you’ve got plans to see China?

    • Reply twoOregonians February 15, 2012 at 1:55 pm

      Thank you, Harriet! That’s wonderful to hear that you have another trip planned. Unfortunately, we won’t be that far north in Asia – at least not on this adventure. Maybe sometime in the future, though, we’ll be able to see China? And also visit some good friends in Mongolia and Japan? So many places to see in the world… : )

    Happy Birthday! Great that you two are travelling the world and having a good time. Enjoy! My birthday’s on the 14th and will be celebrating at work then at Denny’s with a free grand slam. Well, don’t celebrate it much at work cuz I’m working but that’s where I’ll be. Later in the week, the coast for a day with Phil. Runaway day! Hugs and God bless you two and keep you safe.
